Thanks for your visit to this blog, I hope you can find something you can relate or any of this helps in anyway.

Today I want to dive deeper in a subject that is very ¨ trendy ¨ these days, self love- self-care… we know everyone has their own journey with this subject and honestly one of the reasons that inspired me to get back to writing.

Self love is something very complex and I personally don´t think I have conquer that mountain but definitely have learned more through the past years.

Anyway what is self love, self care? … more beyond having the workout routine, the skincare, the treat yourself days, etc.

Self love and care is also …

  • Is protecting your energy- sometimes we feel like we need to embrace everything and put up with everyone. No matter if they drain us and make us feel bad about ourselves, let’s not. Putting boundaries with people and situations that don ´t serve us is Self-care.

  • Stop being a people pleaser - When you say yes to everyone, even if it goes against what you want, you are compromising your authenticity for trying to please others and you end up feeling sad that you can’t stand up for yourself. How about you stand up for yourself and if the person you are saying no to respects you and understand then that means they care about but if that person or people are defensive then they have never cared about you and they were only taking advantage of you because you always said yes to them.

Coming from a business owner perspective this has been some of the aspects I have learned and still learning.

Not everyone has the best interest and intentions but it’s not personal by nature humans are selfish and they are always looking for a personal gain. So this has been the hardest pill I have taken and it took me so long to realize that it’s true.

With this said then it’s more important to put yourself first and not let people like this take from your awesomeness and protect yourself from that.

In the other hand you will also meet people that love you for who you are, that will respect your boundaries that love to see you doing good in life these people are very special and keep me close they will make your self love journey so much better! When you have good people like this in your life is better, gut instincts are guardian angel’s and so people that truly care about you!

Also in the hard days is when is the most important to remember you need time to re-charge, give yourself grace and practice things that help you feel like yourself again, it could be trying a hobby, doing something you are passionate about.

No matter how bad a certain situation can get or the negative thoughts you may have about yourself. You are worth it to continue on yourself love and care life.

It’s a constant journey to keep fighting for it, to know you come first and deserve to feel love, secure, respected and might sound very cliche but it’s true if we are good with ourselves then we can be there for others and give our best to the world.

We are not only one thing in our life we can be more, we can explore more passions, new things, and that at the end of the day you know it is contributing to loving yourself and feel like you are taking care of you and your soul.
