Hi Guys,

How are you doing? as always I hope you are doing well and everything is OK with you! :)

I’m finally getting to write down about our stay-cation we had last February 2019, as you know we are in the middle of a world crisis and traveling right now is not what it used to be, I might be late to be making this blog posts but I actually think it couldn’t be a better time because it can give you inspiration and can help you to look forward to when things are better and we can start planning stay-cations or vacations :)

Last February we booked a room in Mar del Cabo their renew hotel that used to be Marbella suits before, I think now Mar del Cabo is family of Grand Velas and let me tell you they totally nailed it! the renovation of the hotel it’s so beautiful and what I like the most about it is that they kept the essence of the old one in a way but obviously with that fresh feel.

From the moment we checked-in I could tell we were going to have an amazing experience! the people in the reception were super friendly the bell boy super helpful took all of our luggage so that was a very nice start, oh also they gave us a welcoming drink which I think it’s a great gesture.

The grounds of the hotel are so magical, it gives me vibes of walking through Greece maybe Santorini? probably the closest we’ve been to be in Greece lol, the colors, the flowers it’s truly beautiful.

The rooms are so chic, I love the minimalism of them and yet they still have a pop of color, very spacious, you have a little kitchen, table, couch then you walk to the bedroom which has a big nice bed, the bathroom is also super nice, big and you can have two people and by that I mean us the girls doing our hair and the boys getting brush their teeth or whatever they do aha.

The pool area it’s so nice and you can walk to the beach in 2 seconds from there, what I love about this boutique resort is that the location of it allows lot’s of privacy on the beach area, so it truly feels like an escape to almost a private island! Also, the pool has a nice feeling to it because is under the restaurant so you also get that privacy of not being stared by the people in the restaurant, actually when we went there was a group event going on in the restaurant, maybe like 50 ladies??? and we still felt super disconnected from the event it did not ruin our moments at the pool.

Food and drinks were so good, we ordered some mezcalitas by the pool and omg so delish plus the bartenders super nice too! we had lunch, dinner, and breakfast the next morning and all the meals were great. The most magical part was the dinner which was super romantic because it was Valentine’s, the hotel set up a special beach dinner for the guest and it had a path to the beach with Tikki torches, the tables super separated from each couple, so that gave a feeling of exclusivity too, all the couples got a rose and candlelight dinner with the moon and stars.

Just by writing about it makes me want to go again! If you are one of those people who appreciate small boutique hotels I think you will love Mar del Cabo. Let me know in the comments where are you looking to travel when things are better in the world.

In the meantime, I send you all the best,

Diana xoxo
